Driving Directions from Kaslo

From Kaslo take Hwy 31 North past  Lardeau, aprox 20 min.  Continue on towards Argenta/Johnson's Landing there is a sign indicating the turn off to the right. Within a quarter of a kilometer you will go over a bridge, the road will then turn to gravel.  Within a half of a kilometer you turn right towards Argenta (there is a sign indicating the turn) . 
Go past the turn up to Argenta and continue straight ahead to Johnson's Landing.   Follow til you come to a  'Y' in the road.   Take the left fork towards  Fry Creek Canyon Trail, you will pass a group of green rural mailboxes on your right, continue onward. 
At the Fry Creek Canyon trail head (a bulletin board and three car parking area) follow the bend left and go uphill.  You will pass Kootenay Joe Road, we are the next driveway on the left.
# Note: The last 20 km to NorthStar is a well maintained gravel road, in some places it is one lane.  Please  observe the speed limits and be prepared to pull over to allow vehicles to pass.
Cell phone service is virtually non-existent once you leave Kaslo, so make your calls before you leave.
